At “HERstory,” the 13th annual Women in Blue luncheon, San Diego Police Department Assistant Chief Sandra Albrektsen was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the Women in Blue initiative and 40 years of service to the SDPD.

The Country Friends held its popular annual “Art of Fashion” runway and luncheon event Sept. 17 at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. The Art of Fashion benefits The Country Friends, raising funds for numerous San Diego County charities.

The Women’s Museum of California presented a benefit reception and luncheon in honor of renowned architect Lilian J. Rice, credited with designing Rancho Santa Fe, one of the first master-planned communities in California.

On March 22, 2024, a group of Rotarians, under the direction of Ellen Bryson, met at the Salvation Army, Door of Hope to assemble Easter Baskets for the children and families.

“Dedicated Hearts, Devoted to Service” was the theme of the 58th annual Women of Dedication luncheon, honoree presentation, and fundraiser. The event honored 12 extraordinary women for their dedication to our community through volunteerism and service.
